Snow has fallen again, adding a fresh layer of misery onto what already plagues
us. The cold prevents it from melting. The snow prevents it from getting warmer.
Its white expanse brings sunburn as well as frostbite; blindness as well as
light.

If prayers mattered we might offer them.
